Device-free 4D tumor position visualization
Unique 4D kV imaging provides 4D volume imaging of tumor motion immediately prior to treatment. This allows moving targets to be treated aggressively without compromising the safety of adjacent critical structures.
Device-free 4D imaging for lung treatments
Traditional external markers in lung cancer radiation therapy don’t account for baseline shifts of the tumor throughout the course of the treatment sessions. Elekta Symmetry captures image data during the breathing phase and performs sophisticated computations to provide 4D data. This data helps tumor tracking during each phase of the respiratory cycle to arrive at an average position of the tumor for each treatment.
The benefits are an accounting of baseline shifts and physician ability to treat using reduced margins around the tumor, by virtue of enhanced knowledge of the tumor’s position on a day-to-day basis.

Respiratory motion management through active breathing control
Provides non-invasive, internal immobilization of anatomies affected by respiratory motion, such as breast or lung, through comfortable, simple and efficient assisted breath-hold techniques.
